Jalan Dewan Bahasa
Jalan Dewan Bahasa is a road which houses the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, one of the most prominent landmarks in the country. This road is widely considered to be an important one because it connects vehicles into the Golden Triangle. Apart from that, Jalan Dewan Bahasa provides access towards the Jalan Maharajalela – Jalan Kuching intersection while the other side branches out towards Cheras and Bandar Tun Razak. Located just opposite the intersection from Jalan Dewan Bahasa is Victoria Institution which can be seen from afar which then leads towards Bukit Bintang via Jalan Hang Tuah. Within Jalan Dewan Bahasa meanwhile is the SME Corporation next to the Zurich Insurance Malaysia building located a stone’s throw away from the Kuala Lumpur Kwong Tong Cemetery.
Available Advertising Medium
Along Jalan Dewan Bahasa, there are some very attractive advertising mediums. This is where a few billboards are located opposite Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka where the cemetery is located. The billboards here are known to be one of the most expensive ones in the country due to its high visibility. As a new bypass was built recently that connects Bukit Bintang with Jalan Syed Putra, pillar wraps might be available while overhead bridge billboards could be adopted as well.
The main target market for ad spaces in Jalan Dewan Bahasa are mainly shoppers and working executives who use this road as an access to take them towards the commercial and shopping district of Kuala Lumpur in the Golden Triangle. With such high demand, buying power for these spaces would constantly be very high.
Jalan Dewan Bahasa is one of the roads where traffic flow is constantly crawling most particularly during the rush hours of the morning and evenings. At other times, there are always vehicles moving along Jalan Dewan Bahasa because it channels them out of the Bukit Bintang – Pudu areas. The main spot here at Jalan Dewan Bahasa is the Jalan Hang Tuah-Jalan Maharajalela-Jalan Loke Yew intersection where the traffic lights here control the flow of vehicles. It must be noted that the billboards at this intersection is among the most sought-after media spaces in the Klang Valley.
During the mornings, vehicles coming in from the likes of Damansara and Brickfields will experience super peak conditions especially at the traffic lights beside Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. This can actually start as vehicles start to trickle in through Jalan Istana. The situation is somewhat different during the evening rush hours where Jalan Dewan Bahasa experiences moderate traffic flow. At other times, this short stretch has moderate to peak traffic conditions while it super peaks mostly throughout Saturday while it is peak to super peak flow on Sundays.
