Jalan Tuaran Bypass starts from the eastern side of Sabah where it comes in through the Asian Highway 150. You will pass by several small intersections before arriving at the Jalan Cudo junction. You will then continue on a long stretch until you passes the river and come towards the City Futsal Centre.
Continuing down to the southern region, you will then reach the Lorong Permai interchange. After that, you will approach Kampung Darat and will then reach Cosmopoint International College of Technology before reaching Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Kota Kinabalu and SMKA Tun Ahmadshah. You will then be approaching the city centre via the Jalan Tuaran-Jalan Lintas and Lorong Kelabu junction.
Jalan Tuaran Bypass is mainly used by working adults who are staying around the northern parts of the state, most notably Tuaran area who commute daily into the city center for work. Besides that, families ferrying their children to school each day uses this major bypass as well.
Along Jalan Tuaran Bypass, the traffic condition is generally moderate to low while the intersections and junctions are where the traffic flow can be peak particularly during rush hours. The junction leading into the city center along Jalan Lintas meanwhile is super peak during rush hours and peak at other times.
