In Kuantan, the state capital of Pahang, Jalan Beserah is one of the major roads here that connects people from all walks of life. It runs through the city center of Kuantan and links up with the coastal town of Beserah, running by several prominent locations and landmarks along the way.
Landmarks and Subroads
Jalan Beserah starts around the junction above Sungai Kuantan where Jalan Dato Abu Bakar and Jalan Teluk Sisek convenes. You will then be in the middle of Kuantan town centre that will lead you up to the north where you will pass by Sungai Gading before reaching Sekolah Kebangsaan Gading. After that, you will approach the central business district here passing by Nirvana Hypermarket and a stretch of banks. Next is the Jabatan Ukur dan Permetaan and several government offices before leaving the town and towards the Beserah region.
The largest group of people using Jalan Beserah are those who travel to and from work each day at the city centre. This is made up mainly from white collar workers, government service employees while there is a large segment of tourists as well particularly during weekends and school holidays.
The stretch around the Beserah area will experience moderate to low traffic conditions while it is peak to super peak particularly around the Alor Akar areas as there are a lot of banks and restaurants here. On weekends meanwhile, Jalan Beserah can be quite congested around the coastal areas as there are constantly visitors heading to the beaches and seaside for leisure and vacation.
