The Jelutong Expressway is located in Penang. It is known as the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway that provide the access for 4.5 million vehicles to commute between the central and northern parts of the island.
If you are coming in from the mainland in Butterworth, you will be using the Penang Bridge that will then connect you directly to the Jelutong Expressway. You will then be at Gelugor before passing by Jelutong around Fortune Park and then crossing the Malacca Strait into Georgetown where you will reach Pengkalan Weld.
As the Jelutong Expressway is connected to the Penang Bridge, it is used mainly by vehicles coming in from Butterworth daily for work and school. Besides that, Jelutong is used as a bypass link for those in the island to get to Gelugor and Bayan Lepas without having to manoeuvre pass the challenging traffic of the city center.
