Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman is one of the main roads in the heart of the country’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. This road is used by vehicles, public transportation and people on foot throughout the day where it is one of the busiest streets in the city center. Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman runs from north to south of the city where it starts from Jalan Pahang, moving down until it convenes with Jalan Raja Laut, another prominent main road of Kuala Lumpur.

Next to Maju Junction is Menara Mara with Pertama Complex next to it. The old Campbell Shopping Complex is adjacent with this building while Sogo Shopping Complex is on the other side. Further south you will come towards Pawagam Coliseum and the Coliseum Café, one of the most popular western restaurants in the country.
As Jalan TAR is a main road that services the people around the city, the traffic here is very high throughout the day with its peak being the evenings when people are leaving work and going around for meals here. Jalan TAR’s super peak traffic conditions in the morning and evenings make this road one of the most used access roads in Kuala Lumpur.
From the Chow Kit intersection, you will notice that traffic is constantly at its peak and super peak at rush hours. After that, it is moderate but can rise to become peak again before the Jalan Sultan Ismail interchange. At the Maju Junction-Medan Tuanku area, traffic flow is very smooth and is very much throughout the day before it is peak again when you approach Sogo. From this point on, Jalan TAR’s traffic is again peak until you reach the Dataran Merdeka intersection that will channel you towards Dayabumi or to Damansara via Jalan Parlimen.
